Investing More, Investing Better: Resource Reallocation Strategies for Global Oral Health Improvement Richard Watt–Five Lancet Commissioners Discuss Their Work Giddon, DMD, PhD, Annual Lecture in Behavioral Medicine and Dentistry 2021 With tooth decay impacting almost half of the world’s population, we must shift our mindset from thinking we can train enough dentists to training all health care providers around oral health and its impact on overall health and wellness. Through the Center for Integration of Primary Care and Oral Health (CIPCOH), The Office of Global and Community Health (OGCH), and other national and global stakeholders, a community of practice is rapidly growing around this mission. During this webinar, our panelists will share promising practices that use a “train the trainer” approach to prepare health care providers to address the global burden of oral disease and to promote oral and overall health.
